After a 30 to 45-minute hike or horseback ride, you reach the base of Salto El Limón. The Arroyo Chico river drops over a limestone cliff into a cool, emerald plunge pool.

You will typically spend about an hour at the falls. Use this time to swim, rest, and take photos before starting the trip back to the trailhead.

Salto El Limón (The Main Cascade)

1 hour40-meter drop

The Arroyo Chico river falls 40 meters (130 feet) over a fern-covered limestone cliff. This is the main focal point of the excursion. The water current near the impact zone gets very strong after heavy rains. Always follow your guide's advice on where it is safe to swim.

The Smaller Waterfall
