No. You can hike the 2.5-kilometer trail on foot. Hiking takes 30 to 45 minutes each way. Walking saves the horse fee, but the trail involves thick mud and river crossings.
The official park entrance fee is 100 to 150 DOP. Guided horseback tours booked at local ranches range from $25 to $50+ USD per person. Tipping your horse guide is extra.
Individual ranches set their own limits. Ask ahead when booking. The trail is steep and muddy, which requires fit horses.

Amazing! Tour with horse riding to get to the waterfall. Waterfall was a wonderful sight! Afterwards we had an amazing Dominican lunch! In the afternoon we went to the Bacardi island where we had the opportunity to swim in clear water!!! Enrique, the bus driver and Nacho the tour guide were amazing! 👏
